2. Information We Collect
We only collect data necessary to help you visualize, track, and optimize your loan and debt payoff journeys:
A. Information You Provide Directly
Account Information: Name, email address, and your sign-in details.
Debt & Loan Tracking Data: Creditor names or labels (e.g. Personal Loan, HDFC Credit Card, Vehicle Loan), outstanding principal balances, annual interest rates (APR), monthly minimum EMIs, due dates, and extra payoff contributions.

B. Information Collected Automatically
Technical Device Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and language preferences.
Note on Banking Credentials: Calwist does not request or store your online banking passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, or credit card CVVs. Calwist Loan does not connect to your bank or read your messages. Every loan entry and amount is typed in by you.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect strictly for the following purposes:
Generating personalized payoff schedules and debt-free target dates.
Planning extra payments with the debt avalanche method (highest interest rate first) to estimate your payoff dates.
Answering your call requests and support messages.
Providing customer assistance and diagnosing platform technical issues.
4. Security & Encryption Standards
We implement robust technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal data against accidental loss, unauthorized access, alteration, and disclosure:
Encryption: All network transmissions use HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or newer, TLS 1.3 where your browser supports it). The server disks that hold your records, and their backups, are encrypted with AES-256.
Access Controls: Only the Calwist team can reach the servers, and the servers accept no direct logins from the internet. We look at your data only to keep the service running or to answer a request you make.
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
Calwist does not sell, lease, or monetize your personal or financial data. We only share information in the limited scenarios described below:
Service Providers: We engage trusted cloud hosting providers, database infrastructures, and transactional email services operating under strict confidentiality agreements.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable laws, court orders, or governmental regulatory authorities.
Business Transfers: If Calwist is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same privacy protections.
